Accessibility statement

Coaching India is built for students of every ability, and we target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, across the product.

Last updated: 10 February 2025

What we've implemented

  • Full keyboard navigation across the tutor, practice, and mock test flows.
  • A visible “skip to main content” link on every page.
  • Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a single, correctly ordered heading structure per page.
  • Visible focus outlines on every interactive element, rather than suppressing browser focus styles.
  • Touch targets sized to at least 44×44px on interactive controls.
  • A Material Design 3 colour palette checked for sufficient contrast between text and background.
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences, which trims non-essential animation.
  • Descriptive labels for icon-only buttons and form controls for screen reader users.

Known limitations

We are still in closed beta and some areas have not yet been fully audited: complex data visualisations (such as performance charts) do not all have a text-based equivalent yet, some third-party embedded content may not fully match our contrast standards, and a few older screens have not been retested with a screen reader since their last redesign. We are working through these as part of ongoing development rather than treating accessibility as a one-time project.

Reporting an accessibility barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on Coaching India, please tell us — specific reports help us prioritise fixes. Email support@coachingindia.app with the page you were on, what assistive technology or browser you were using, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within one working day.
