Children's privacy policy

Many students preparing for competitive exams are minors. This page explains the extra protections that apply to them.

Last updated: 10 February 2025

Minimum age and parental consent

Coaching India welcomes school-age students preparing for competitive exams. Consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, any user identified as under 18 may only use Coaching India with verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. During sign-up, users who indicate they are under 18 are asked to provide a parent or guardian's contact details so consent can be verified before an account is activated.

No behavioural advertising to children

Coaching India does not run behavioural or targeted advertising, and specifically does not track, profile, or target advertising to users known to be children.

What we collect from student accounts

The same categories described in our privacy policy apply to student accounts — account details, learning activity, AI tutor conversations, and billing information where a parent has subscribed to a paid plan.

Parental access and deletion requests

A parent or guardian who provided consent for a child's account can request access to the data associated with that account, request correction of inaccurate information, or request that the account and its data be deleted, by writing to support@coachingindia.app from the email used to give consent. We will take reasonable steps to verify the request before acting on it.
